I see us sitting on the beach, me next to you, you next to me Our feet planted in the sand, and the ocean water clawing at us You feel me gently place my head upon your shoulder We talk the evening away, asking each other to reveal all our secrets What we are passionate about and what drives our souls I see the sun slowly setting as you whisper your secrets in my ear You feel me tremble, not out of nervousness, or from the chill in the air But of comfort, being so close to you Then the sun breaches the horizon, and I begin to speak to you Telling you things I never told anyone before Suddenly I stop in mid-sentence and wrap my arms around you We lay back in the sand, stretching our legs out for the ocean To kiss the stars as we count them as they begin to appear in the sky above us What a beautiful moment to have, sharing intimate thoughts with my love Together under the stars, at the foot of the ocean. Then, as the sun disappears for the night, we sit upright Sighing at the white cresting waves falling short of our feet Our thoughts are that there is no place we would rather be Then with the person sitting next to us, the person we love I let the words slip from my mouth "I love you" After a moment of silence, you feel me sigh and tremble again And we continue to stare into the dark blue water Embraced in each other's arms
